Please please do not get me wrong but I can not stand children’s art work stuck to the fridge, cupboard doors or the wall. I know it sounds strange I am a mum of two after all, but I think children’s art work should be displayed nicely after all they have put their hard work into their creations.
I’m sure they wouldn’t mind where it’s displayed but as parents we should be showing pride in our children’s work especially when it comes to displaying, plus it lasts longer if displayed in a nice frame.
There are a few apps about now where you can take a photo of your child’s work and store then in a year or so create a beautiful photo book for them to cherish.
I will be doing this as of September, just researching the different apps and trying to find the best one for my family as after all it will need to store two children’s work!
At the moment we have brought some frames from Tesco and Sainsburys. They cost £4-5 which to me is a bargin.
They also look really nice on the wall too and make the children feel like mini artists.
We also love canvas painting, we have to use acrylic paint for them to last, but it is worth it. We do a canvas painting once a year and it’s amazing how their painting skills develop.
We also try and do one as a family too but we have unfortunately only managed it once in 2014!
