Merry Christmas

We have had a busy few months. I decided to have my own website for blogging, which is Bellandbear.co.uk. I have reviewed some lovely products by Interplay UK. Bell has tested out some lovely Shampoo by Vosene Kids . We visited Kent Life for their Spooky Halloween Week and we have had some fun bath time ideas too!

My favourite and the hardest post I have written this year is Being a Mum without a Mum. It was very hard to write it took me ages to get the words down. I found after I wrote it I felt happier. I am not going to bombard everyone with stories of being a mum without a mum but it does help others in the same place. Why not have a read?

I have also started my own YouTube channel too!

I have a few exciting blog posts coming up for January 2017.

I will be working along side Teal Anchor . Which is a company which provides handmade body and facial scrubs which aren’t tested on animals and are Vegan friendly. The product is also Organic. I am very excited about trying this out as my skin is feeling very dry and looking very dull at the moment. Here is there Instagram page if you fancy checking it out over Christmas. Have a look at Teal Anchors Instagram here!

We have also been reviewing a game by Drumond Park and I have a review on my YouTube channel coming soon! But in the mean time why not have a look at the Little Live Pets Review I have done. Click here to view!

I will also be writing a Post about Healthy Packed lunch boxes.. The lovely people at Fruit Bowl have sent me some lovely products to include. Bell will enjoy these when she goes back to pre-school.  Why not have a look at their website for more information. Here’s the website!

My Last but not least is reviewing a Sleep Story. We have already started to review this and the review will be on the blog soon! If you don’t know already we have had battles with Bear waking up between 3.30-5am to start the day, We have also had Bell refusing to go to sleep until 8.30/9pm which is most of our evening gone. Why not have a look at their website.

And not forgetting my usual family life blogs  and YouTube Videos in between!

I would love to work with more Brands and companies in 2017. If you are a PR for a company I would love to hear from you!

I would also love to guest post too so If you are a Blogger and you feel we could work well together please feel free to contact me!

Now I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays , Happy Christmas. And also a healthy  and Happy 2017.

Thank you for reading and I hope you will enjoy what’s to come in 2017 I am very excited!

Christmas Tradition

When I was younger we always used to see Family on Christmas Eve and Boxing day. We always used to have Chinese on Christmas eve too.

These have still stuck now I have my own two children.

As a family we have two other  Christmas Traditions, Every year we buy one or two new decorations, which the children choose themselves and they go into a box (I have to take a photo of what decorations they have each so they go into the right boxes) The plan is when they either leave home or get married (I can’t decide which one as of yet!)  they will get their  box of Christmas decorations.

We also have Buddy the Elf who comes to visit! The Elf on the Shelf is a American tradition which has come over from across the pond, well the big ocean to be totally honest. The Elf can be naughty or nice, our elf does a bit if both. He comes from the North Pole to watch over the children and report back to Santa. The children really enjoying seeing what he gets up to and we take photos daily, or when I remember to do so!

I asked Being Tilly’s Mummy what her family’s Christmas Tradition is and here is what she say’s

“Every Christmas Morning my older kids and Tilly all get in bed with me to open our stockings. The older two are 24 and 21. This year there is my son’s girlfriend Amber and that’s going to be strange for her to get into bed with us all.”

I also had a lovely chat with A free from Life about their Christmas traditions and here is what she say’s

“My Youngest has his birthday on Christmas day, so every year we have Christmas in the morning and birthday in the afternoon. It’s spilt with lunch midday- Christmas Dinner with birthday cake for pudding!”

Last but not least is Me, My life and the Tardis

“In my house we have an traditional that accidentally formed. We all go off and do our own things for a few hours because my mum normally needs a afternoon nap as she has had about a bottle of baileys!”

As you can see everyone’s Christmas Traditions are very different but very special to each family.

What are your Christmas Traditions?

December Seems To Be A Busy Month

For us December seems to be a busy month.

With so much going on at the school, Pre-school, at Home and work for both myself and hubs its getting a bit manic.

I have literally just sat down and looked at the calendar for this month and we don’t actually have a Weekend free until Christmas Day!

There are two birthday parties, two more swimming lessons and a trip to London and not forgetting my twin cousins coming home from university to celebrate Christmas and of course their 21st Birthday!

During the week is pretty much go, go, go also, as I have this week and next week to finish of the main Christmas shopping before Bear and Bell break up from school and pre-school. I also have a few evening babysitting and of course the mummies from the school and pre-school separate night outs! I think I am babysitting for the pre-school one but I will certainly be popping in for a small drink before I go to work!

Hubs doesn’t finish work until two days before Christmas eve, which then gives me a chance to do the food shop in peace, as I am already predicting its going to be so busy, I will be leaving home at 6am the day before Christmas eve, I also have prepping the veg to do also . By this I mean cook the roast potatoes this week, let cool and freeze, when we need them we cook from frozen and the outside goes extra crispy!

I also still have wrapping to do, with Bell dicing to go to bed at 8.30/9 pm it’s the last thing on my min, especially the nights I work and hubs wouldn’t now who’s gifts are who’s. I still have a few more people to buy for such as my dad, his girlfriend, three of my cousins and of course one of my nans I need to get her something else. But it won’t take too long as I will be shopping local and advoiding the main shopping centre’s so I can avoid the mad rush of getting back home to pick Bell up from pre-school at 1pm!

One day I need to stay in to wait for a table to be delivered and dispose of the old dining room table too, and not to mention the cleaning to be done as I know once hubs is home from work he won’t be lending a hand with polishing and general cleaning.

How do you deal with December? Is it a manic month for you also?

Bell and Bears Christmas wishlist

Christmas is catching up on us slowly but surely.

Last night after school we had a look through the catalogues and these are what they would love… they have chosen very similar

  1. Playmobil

Bell loves animals so this would be perfect for her

Bear has almost the whole set of the emergency services so this will complete the set

2.Lego

Who doesn’t love Lego, now Bear is 5 I don’t think Christmas would be complete without a box or two of Lego to make up

3. Books

Bears reading is really improving and he keeps looking at the Dirty Bertie books, Bell loves fairies I know she’s too small to read but we already have one Rainbow Magic book which we sit and read and she loves listening

4. VTECH kiddie zoom range

Bell and Bear really can not decide what they would love more from this collection, and I have to agree VTECH is a brilliant make and practical toy for all ages!

My Christmas wish list

How is it that Christmas will soon be upon us?

The shops are already getting Christmas bits in, but hardly any sign of Halloween bits.

It Has got me thinking of my christmas  wish list.

What do I really need?

What Would Be practical?

So here is my Christmas wish list for 2016

  1. Canon EOS 1200D DSLR Camera with 18-55 Lens – Grey. I would love a camera to use instead of my Samsung Galaxy S6

  2. Asus VivoBook E200 11.6 Inch Atom 2GB 32GB Laptop. I so need a new laptop. My current one keeps going funny and loosing the screen image!

  3. Sanctuary Salt Scrub. Everyone needs a pamper once in a while don’t they? And with a busy household why not bring the spa home instead.

  4. Kind Natured. I have never heard of these products before but they smell amazing and would be great for day to day use.

I also would love a BMW mini cooper 5 doors but I think I am pushing my luck with this one!

What is on your Christmas wish list?

Elf on the Shelf….

This post is Christmas related …..

Have you heard of Elf on the Shelf?
No?

Okay… to me it’s a very American tradition. The Elf which arrives on the 1st December every year. The Elf is sent by Father Christmas to come and keep a eye out on your child and make sure they are being good so they can stay on the nice list.

Every family seems to do things differently.

Last year (2015) we had Buddy the naughty Elf to visit. Oh he was a pickle he ate all the chocolates out the sweet box, he swung from the light shades and he even knocked over the Christmas tree amongst other things.

Bear and Bells favourite thing last year was their pants and knickers on the Christmas tree!

Some families have a nice Elf come to stay. They do really helpful and kind things. They leave notes to say thank you for having me, bring some thing of the children’s favourite things, leave the chocolate box untouched, do the ironing and the hoovering.

I’m hoping the nice Elf comes this year.

The Elf goes Christmas eve morning so he can help santa prepare for the long night he has ahead of him… He leaves  nice breakfast and a Christmas eve box which has new pj’s, dvd, hot chocolate and a snack.

Will you be having a visit from A Elf this year? I hope we do…..
