Perfect Glasses Review

Summer is fast approaching and I was very egar to get some sunglasses sooner rather than later. The only difference was that this year I would have to get prescription sunglasses. Even though I have my reaction lens day to day glasses they aren’t that great with full on sunshine, and with our holiday to Lanzarote getting less than 13 weeks away the race was on.

I received a email from Perfect Glasses which is based in the UK  , which is also a  Glasses online retailer, who kindly offered me a chance to review for them.

There was a great choice of glasses, titanium glasses and of course sunglasses. There are lots of brands to choice from starting from as little as £27. There are lots of styles which are suitable for women in their section for women glasses and men to choice from which would suit everyone’s face shape and personalities. If you know the shape of your face there is a chance to try on the glasses via a few photo’s which gives you a good idea whether or not that style would suit you. There are even lots of designer glasses  to choice from too!

The great thing about this UK based website is that the frames are discounted already so you could get a pair of frames for around half the price. They also sometimes have offers on, which makes the frames even more of a barging!

After having a long look through their prescription sunglasses  I asked if I could review the Esprit sunglasses and they said yes.

The service was really nice and polite even though it took me a few day’s to get hold of my prescription from a leading high street opticians. Once I got my prescription to them I received them less than a week. The sunglasses came in a lovely sunglasses cases and they were well wrapped up with bubble wrap and a padded envelope to protect them from any bumps and knocks whilst going through the postal system.

The quality of the frames are hard wearing and good quality. To be honest I have heard a few horror stories about ordering lenses on line and that they won’t be the same quality as if you went into a opticians but Perfect Glasses has certainly put my fears to one side as the prescription was perfect and I could see clearly, read and drive on the one day of glorious sunshine we have had since I received them!

Perfect glasses also have a section on their website which offers a chance to get your current glasses to be  reglaze. I will certainly be using this service for both my sunglasses and normal glasses if my prescription changes in the near future.

I really can not wait for the sunshine to come to the UK, I don’t think I can wait another 13 weeks to wear them!!!

Eagle Heights, Enysford , Kent

20170416_141147

We were lucky enough to be invited to Eagle heights. Eagle heights is based in Enysford in Kent, which is the ideal location to see the birds fly. At Eagle heights there are seven different types of eagles, three vultures, five hawks and two falcons. There are also owls and a caracara, along with the usual chicken, ducks, raven and  few other birds.

There are also mammals, a few farm animals and sled dogs. I can’t forget that they have a small selection of reptiles too!

Eagle heights is the perfect size for families, its not too big and not too small, there is even a play area for over fives and a separate play area for under fives.  There are plenty of picnic tables so you can have a picnic or a reasonably priced tea room. There are signs about warning that food shouldn’t be eaten during the meetings of the animals which are at set times during the day. The centre is buggy and wheelchair friendly. Viewing the animals is also suitable for everyone.

The staff were amazing with the animals and were also friendly and helpful to the public.

The shop, tea room, toilets were very clean and tidy.

We were lucky enough to meet the husky’s. These are beautiful dogs and they look so happy and well cared for. There are experiences to have a personal meet with the husky’s along with husky rides where you are pulled along by a sledge and of course camping out with the husky’s. I will certainly be doing this once Bear and Bell are older as it sounds amazing, marshmallows around the fire, meeting the dogs and camping out. I just need to get over my fear of actually camping first!

There are also eagle shows where you can see these amazing, stunning birds fly and learn all about them. You can also do experience days too.

There is also a Owl experience which is available, I am very tempted to book this for myself whilst the children are at school. Owls are my favourite birds.

Prices for the experiences start from £80.

If you fall in love with one of the animals, you can also adopt them, obviously they stay living at the centre.

Eagle heights is working on wildlife conservation in the UK, whilst assisting on a conservation project in West Africa. If you fancy popping down to see the animals, and learn more about how they are helping Wildlife conservation both here in the UK and West Africa, prices for children are currently £4.95 for over 2’s, and adults are currently £8.95, with a slight discount for over 65’s, students, disabled and carers.

Oh and did I mention the Crystal place eagel lives here?

Teal Anchor All Over Body Scrub

I emailed Teal Anchor just before Christmas in 2016 to see if I would be able to review for them. I was very lucky as they said yes!

This caught my eye because I am trying to find products which are kinder to skin, less chemicals  and also kinder on the environment to make and not leave a lasting impact on the world.

Teal Anchor hand makes each product themselves, the scrubs are vegan friendly and also not tested on animals. Which is brilliant!

The ingredients are really simple to, which you can find over on their website.

So let’s get to the important what I think of the All over body scrub.

They sent me the Mint all over body scrub.

When I took it out the packaging I was pleased to see that it came in a lovely glass container and very few labels covering the jar too which is a bonus! You also get a small little wooden spoon to scoop the scrub out of the jar

.

When I opened it the first thing I noticed was the smell, it smelt totally amazing! Not over powering but actually smelt like Mint, Some products I have used in the past hardly smell of what they are meant to smell like, so this was great!

My  skin is  dry and I find many products dry my skin out even more, which isn’t good as it causes my skin to become itchy and sometimes sore. . I used this body scrub on a tiny bit of my body (arms!) first just to check I wouldn’t come out in a rash, no idea why I thought that as the scrub is 100% home made and has all natural ingredients in.

I first noticed that the scrub wasn’t as gritty as previous scrubs I have used in the past and it had a really nice feel to it. The scrub went on really nicely and I felt it just glided onto my skin. It needed very little rubbing in to get nice smooth skin, which with two children sometimes having a shower needs to be quick!  The Mint fragrance also lasted a very long time and my skin felt really soft and minty  for 12 hours!

I would say this scrub is good for all skin types as it doesn’t dry out the skin.

I would actually use this every day if I could but the recommend usage is twice a week. they currently have 11 more scrubs on sale and they have some really pretty Unicorn make up brushes that you can pre-order.

The scrubs start from £9, which to me is great value for a product which looks and smell’s totally amazing!

I really liked this body scrub oh wait who am I kidding I totally LOVE  the body scrub!  I will certainly be recommending this product to everyone I know.  Now which body scrub shall I try next?  The black pepper, Lavender or the Grapefruit one?!

Oh and they also have a Blog! So why not take a peek, lots of handy tips and some helpful information! Click here to see their blog.

Review on Vosene Kids Pink Pomelo and Vitamin C 2 in 1 shampoo

I was recently sent the New Vosene Kids Pink Pomelo and Vitamin C 2 in 1 shampoo, by Vosene Kids. I have used the Vosene Detangle spray before as Bell’s hair is thick and gets tangle very easily which is also great but can be annoying when we are in a rush!  The design of the packaging really surprised me, as it wasn’t brightly coloured as many other products designed for children are. It was a plain but simple design but it was very eye catching and appealed to children and adults alike.

wp-1479414477969.png

The bottle is a 250ml which is a great size for little hands if you wish to encourage your little ones to take care of themselves. The shampoo is also  Tear-free, Dermatologically tested, MIT-free and Paraben-free which as a parent is a added bonus!

Time to test the shampoo out!

Bell and Bear both love bath time, I won’t lie some day’s it can be a total battle to get Bear into the bath! So when I said he could have a go at washing his own hair he jumped right in and also to wash the chlorine of from our swimming lessons.

The first thing we always do before we try a new product is the smell test, we have to love the smell before we even use it, so when we had a smell we all loved it, it smelt fruity and fresh. Good job really as this shampoo is from the Vosene Fruity Goodness Range. It also isn’t a over powering smell which I think is great.

The first thing I noticed was how soft Bell’s hair was going whilst I was giving her scalp a massage and her hair a clean. We washed all the shampoo residue off, and I noticed the difference  straight away, both of the children’s hair looked healthier after one use, it also felt really soft too.

Now here comes the problem I have,  I  dread brushing Bell’s hair, even if I wash her hair gently it gets tangled very  easily , I can say that we had a lovely hair brush, no tangles at all unlike other shampoos we have used in the past. Which is now making hair brushing time much quicker and  I am now able to do more than just brush her hair, I can style it!

I will certainly be of to buy some more when we run out, but you do only need a tiny bit to get all the benefits I have mentioned already. You will be able to buy Vosene Kids Pink Pomelo and Vitamin C 2 in 1 shampoo in many leading supermarkets, Boots and many more. If you don’t think this product is for you why not check out their other products there is a wide range to choose from for adults and children alike.

Now I’m of to wash my hair with Vosene Kids Pink Pomelo and Vitamin C 2 in 1 shampoo, as according for Bear its not for mummy to use… please don’t tell them!

Enjoy!

disclaimer:

I was sent the Vosene Kids Pink Pomelo and Vitamin C 2 in 1 shampoo by Vosene, all the thoughts on the product are my own and I have not been paid for this review.

Kind Natured Soothing Sea Salt and bergamot Bath Soak and Body Wash Review

**I have not been asked by the company to write this review. **

Whilst browsing child free in Boots the other day I came across a product by a company called Kind Natured.

The products are free from Sulphates, Parabens & Petrochemicals which is a good thing it means no nasties will be going onto your skin or into your hair. And it’s also good for the envioment.

Kind Natured offer Hair care and bath care products. I brought the sea salt and bergamot bath Soak and the body wash. It smelt amazing, like being at the sea side. And I live the sea side.

When I used the bath Soak I used two small drops as I always do with using any product and there were quite a lot of bubbles, and it also made the bathroom smell lovely.

The bath was very relaxing and I read some of my book. The body wash has left my skin really soft and smooth, unlike the product I am using at the moment.i also only needed to use a small amount which is a bonus as the body wash will last much longer!

Even hubs had a bubble bath and said his skin feels smooth!!!

The price of the product was £2 99 from what I can remember.

Now when I pop to Boots next time I am certainly going to be buying the hair care products to see how they are on my very sensitive scalp.

Oh and did I mention they also do a children’s range too, now we know what the children will be getting from Santa don’t we?

**Review post** Method cleaning products

I’m sick to death with the amount of chemicals in cleaning products.

I thought I would try a product called Method. There products are not tested on animals, the bottles they use are made from old bottles and their  Nontoxic cleaners are also biodegradable.

I am trying out the Method multi-surface spray in French lavender and the Method lemon mint hand wash.

My kitchen and bathroom are usually spotless, but I left the cleaning for  day, well it was Sunday after all, a day of rest!

So here we go…

The top is before and the bottom is after. I needed very little to get this clean, it sprayed on in a fine mist unlike other cleaning products which come out as a big lump. It was very easy to just wipe over and I had no rubbing to do for this.

Bathtub, is it just me or do children end up making the bath go black! I live in the bathroom cleaning and scrubbing, but yet again it was so easy to clean using the Method multi-surface cleaning spray, just spray and wipe!

I am already in love with this product did I say it smells so nice?

I hate wearing rubber gloves and some veining products are very harsh on the skin (but suppose it severs me right for not wearing gloves) Method is gentle on your hands.

So after all that cleaning it’s best to wash my hands with Method hand-wash. It smells amazing too! And it’s so gentle on my skin, and my skin is very sensitive, I haven’t come up in a rash and my hands smell so nice.

Would I buy Method products again? Oh yes! They are great for the envioment, not tested on animals and they smell totally amazing!!!

Now of to have a look at their website again. Which I have to say is very user friendly.
Disclaimer: I was not approached by method to review, I have written this review by myself and they are my own thoughts and opinions.
