Who needs sleep part 3

I think this week is going to be much better, I am not sure if its pure exhaustion or the nights and mornings are slowly drawing in who knows but I think this week will be better!

Day one week 2

Last night we had the usual bedtime routine bath and bed all by 7pm, and guess what Bear slept in until 5,30! I know that’s still early but it beats 4.30!

Day two week 2

What is happening! 4.30 am is seriously not a good time, we haven’t done anything different at all either! Bear is going to be moody today!

Day three week 2

Yay 6am! 6am! finally a decent hour, not sure why he got up at 4.30 am yesterday but yay!!! One happy mumma, shame Bell woke up 4 times in the night look’s like her turn to be moody!

day four week 2

5.45am, why oh why do the times keep changing! Just why? I need sleep, I turn moody and grumpy without sleep and I am trying to cut my sugar habit as well which isn’t going well

Day five week 2

Yay! 6.30am I could get used to this and Bell feel asleep at 9pm last night, what is going on with them if its not one its the other!

day 6 week 2

6.30am! yay this is better, Bear is 100% less grumpy and so is Bell! Bath time is at 6.30 and bed is at 7pm, I’m guessing its the whole new routine of school and nursery kicking in!

Day seven week 2

Oh great! 5.30 am from Bear, we were doing so so well too! Oh well week three will be a better week, but saying that this week has been pretty good!

Bell’s First Week at Preschool

Bell has had her first week at preschool, by week I mean she attends three days a week until 1pm.

Monday morning she was so excited helped pack her packed lunch bag, and kept saying “I am going to Preschool”. She got dressed with a bit of help and let me put her hair in a bunch, she even wore Bear’s old preschool jumper it swamped her!

Bell went in without any tears and played happily, the preschool even sent a text letting me know she was okay, which was lovely.

All afternoon Bell was asking to go back to see Hearn the dog and to play with her friends.

Tuesday was fine too, but Wednesday! Bell was fine got ready as usual, helped pack her packed lunch, walked to preschool fine but nope I went to leave and she cried and screamed and screamed.  She will be fine, the ladies said they were of to play in the garden and she was having cuddle’s with Bears old keyworker when I left….

The fun of parenting, I am sure they do the tears to make you feel guilty for leaving them, but I promise and I know from experience working in nursery’s that they will be fine after a few minutes.

Bell was fine when I picked her up!

Reading and books

Okay I admit it, I have already written about this subject but please bare with me. I Love Book’s and talking about them, I am  sucker for books. I will buy books as though they are going out of fashion.

Wether it’s for me or the children I am always on the hunt for a bargin book or too.

I leave hubby to buy his own his taste changes almost weekly!

Myself and the children seem to get a new book once a week. The children especially could open  a library with the amount of books they have. I however usually  donate my books to a charity shop or offer them for free or small donation on my local Facebook selling page.

I remember when I was little, my nan and my aunts used to read to me loads. I still have a couple of the books which I have now put on Bear and Bells bookshelf

We love the classics, Roald Dahl, Beatrix Potter and the latest classic is Harry Potter. Bell and Bear are a tad too little for Harry Potter but a local mum was having a huge book clear out and they were there so I managed to get them and donated some money to a Charity.

We also love visiting the library too.

I personally think reading is so important for a child, especially from a early age. It helps with speech and word recognition. It helps a child be knowledgeable about certain subjects. It helps a child find out more about a subject they love Wether it’s about space, fairy’s, dinosaurs or how the earth moves. It can encourage conversation  when bigger. It can help with study skills when they are studying for exams.it can help them get far in life and find a passion which can be a cheap and fantastic passion  to explore.

What’s your little ones favourite book? Also what’s yours?

Dear Bear … (End of term)

How is it the end of term already?

This year has flown by. This time last year we were saying goodbye to your amazing pre-school teachers ready to spend summer together before  you started on your Reception class adventure.

You have graduated from Reception and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and you are now ready for some serious but fun learning, in your next class.

Your Reception Class adventure is now over the next school chapter will be opening after the summer holiday’s. 6 whole weeks of not dashing about and chilling out.

Mummy will be working two day’s a week over the holiday’s but luckily you can come with me, but we will be going out  doing some things with the little baby I look after.

The day’s I am not working we will be having lazy mornings, and fun day’s out which will be a bit more suitable for you and your sister.

I bet you these  6 weeks will go so fast, we will be finding things to do with Dinosaurs as that is what you are learning about next term, we will also be finding some fun things to do with Space, the weather and Woodlands as that is what you will be doing in Year One.

Your year one teacher’s seem amazing you have one teacher Two day’s a week who has been teaching over 10 years and the other three day’s a newly qualified teacher, who used to be a teaching assistant. You will also having a Teaching Assistant too!

I can’t put into words how proud I am of you, you are such a caring, loving, polite and handsome young man. Your teachers say you are a pleasure to have in the classroom and you are helpful and caring too.

I am so excited for your Year one adventure, I hope it is as magical as your Reception adventure was.

Lot’s of Love

Mummy
